We read so little, we watch so much TV and we pray too rarely.
We have multiplied our assets, but reduced our values.
We talk too much, we love too rarely and we hate too often.
We have learn how to earn our existence, but not how to make a life.
We added years to the life, but not life to our years.
We reached the moon and came back,
but we have an issue when we have to cross the street and meet a neighbor.
We conquered the cosmic space, but not our inner space.
We have done bigger things, but not better things.
We have cleaned the air, but polluted the ground.
we conquered the atom, but not our preconceptions.
We write more, but we learn less.
we plan more, but we make less
We have learned to hurry, and haven't learned to wait.
we have made more computers, to keep more informations, to make more copies than ever, still we communicate the less.
These are the times of fast-food and late digestion;
Big people but little characters, big profits and superficial relationships.
These are the times when we have 2 jobs, but more divorces,
More beautiful houses, but ruined homes.
These are the times when we have faster excursions, one-use diapers,
2 cents morality, one-night stands, supraponderal bodies and pills that can give you any state, from happiness, to peace and death.
Are times when there are too many windows but nothing inside.
Remember to spend time with your dear ones, because they will not be with you for all eternity.
Remember to say a good word to the (your) child, who adores you, because he will grow up soon and leave.
Remember to hug with love the one who's beside you, because this is the only treasure that you can offer with your heart and it doesn't cost anything.
Remember to say "I love you" to your beloved ones, especially say it from the heart.
A kiss and a hug will lighten the pain, if they are sincere.
Remeber to hold the hand of your dear ones and appreciate that moment, because one day, that person will not be near you anymore.
Make time to love, make time to talk, make time to share the precious thoughts you have."
